Pastor Bryan and Sharon Aalborg have shared nearly 38 years of marriage and ministry together taking them to both coasts of the United States and to international locations. Sharon holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Adventist University and a Master of Arts in Education from Andrews University. She has served as a classroom instructor for numerous grade levels in both the public and the Seventh-day Adventist educational systems. Sharon currently teaches for Union County Public Schools.

The Aalborg enjoy a variety of outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, backpacking, rafting, and gardening. Sometimes they enjoy just being lazy on a beach where they both enjoy reading! They make health and fitness a priority.

The Aalborgs have one daughter, Alexis, and one grandson, Alexander.

Jesus and His Scripture give the Aalborgs confidence, guidance and purpose. Pastor Bryan resonates with Jesus' assurance in John 17:3 "This is eternal life that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ who You have sent." Sharon finds renewal in God's  love expressed in the psalm "He delivered me because He delighted in me." Psalm 18:19.

Lay Pastor - Ellie Green

Ellie Green - Lay Pastor

Lloyd 'Bunky' Green - Ministry Partner

Ellie, BSN, RN, spent 18 years as an author and speaker--both nationally and internationally--for the Mosby Book Company. She also worked as a consultant to over 3,000 health care organizations around the world to develop systems, policies and processes to ensure that they would meet the Joint Commission inspection standards. She is the co-author of 3 books, published over 300 articles and served as an editor for several professional journals.

Ellie has always been passionate about evangelism but knew she needed training. So, after retiring from nursing, she completed the 2-year Lay Pastor Assistant Course offered by the Southern Union. This training equipped her to assist in pastoral duties within the Sharon church family.

It also presented an opportunity for a unique evangelistic ministry, now in its 24th year. Ellie leads in overseeing and conducting prophecy seminars in the Sharon Church Sanctuary during the ‘Sabbath School’ hour each week. There have been many baptisms from this ministry—thanks to the Sharon Church media team who broadcast each prophecy seminar over the Internet, You Tube, Face Book, other social media platforms as well as the WGFY Radio station!

Additionally, Ellie has conducted evangelistic campaigns in Costa Rica, Kenya, Bulgaria, the Philippines and Puerto Rico. Currently the Green’s hold a Tuesday evening Bible study in their home inviting their neighbors to come and hear God’s end time message for the first time.

Lloyd, with college degrees in both math and physics, is retired after 38 years with NASA as a data systems manager. His career included working on NASA’s first lunar landing as well as working on many of NASA’s research satellites.

Ellie and Lloyd's son, Scott, a graduate of Southern Adventist University  and Washington and Lee University School of Law is legal counsel for Movement Mortgage in SC. Their daughter, Sheri, a graduate of Southern Adventist University, and Charlotte School of Law, works in Utilization Review at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Springs, MD. They have three grandchildren, Riley, a Nurse Practitioner in Women’s Health and nurse midwifery; Austin, a graduate with a business degree from UNCC, and Alex who is a senior student in Construction Management at East Carolina University.
