Senior Pastor
Pastor Bryan Aalborg and his wife, Sharon, have been partners in both marriage and ministry for 38 beautiful years. Together, they share a passion for serving others and living out their faith. Pastor Bryan's academic journey includes a Bachelor of Arts from Southern Adventist University, a Master of Divinity from Andrews University, and a Doctor of Ministry from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, equipping him to lead with wisdom and grace.
Pastor Bryan finds inspiration in Jesus' words from John 17:3, which speak of the life-giving relationship we can have with God. Sharon draws strength and renewal from Psalm 18:19, cherishing the truth that "He delivered me because He delighted in me." Their faith and love for God overflow into their ministry, creating a welcoming and encouraging environment for all they serve.

Bryan Arvelo
Associate Pastor
Bryan Arvelo serves as the associate pastor of the Sharon Church, part of the Carolina Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.
He has been in ministry since 2021 and holds a Master’s degree in Ministry with an emphasis in Church Leadership and Management, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Theology with a minor in Film Production from Southern Adventist University.
Bryan is passionate about preaching and nurturing the spiritual life of the church.
He has been married to his wife, Carolyna, since 2022. Carolyna is an elementary school teacher at the Adventist Christian Academy of Charlotte who shares his commitment to faith and service.
Above all, Pastor Bryan loves Jesus and seeks to reflect God’s grace and compassion to everyone he meets.

Ellie Green
Lay Pastor
Ellie and Lloyd Green are a dynamic couple whose lives have been dedicated to service, education, and ministry. Ellie, BSN, RN, spent 18 years as an author and international speaker for Mosby Book Company. Her extensive career includes consulting for over 3,000 healthcare organizations worldwide, helping them meet Joint Commission standards. She has co-authored three books, published over 300 articles, and served as an editor for several professional journals, leaving a lasting impact on the healthcare industry.
After retiring from nursing, Ellie followed her passion for evangelism by completing the Southern Union’s 2-year Lay Pastor Assistant Course. This training equipped her to assist in pastoral work within the Sharon Church family and launched a 24-year evangelistic ministry. Ellie leads weekly prophecy seminars during the Sabbath School hour, which are broadcast worldwide through Sharon Church’s media platforms and WGFY Radio, resulting in many baptisms. Her ministry has also taken her to Costa Rica, Kenya, Bulgaria, the Philippines, and Puerto Rico for evangelistic campaigns. Additionally, she and Lloyd host a weekly Bible study in their home, sharing God’s end-time message with their neighbors.
Lloyd, with degrees in mathematics and physics, retired after 38 years at NASA as a data systems manager. He played a key role in NASA’s first lunar landing and numerous research satellite missions, contributing to historic milestones in space exploration.
Ellie and Lloyd are proud parents of two accomplished children: Scott, legal counsel for Movement Mortgage in South Carolina, and Sheri, who works in Utilization Review at Holy Cross Hospital in Maryland. They cherish their three grandchildren: Riley, a Nurse Practitioner in Women’s Health; Austin, a business graduate of UNCC; and Alex, a senior in Construction Management at East Carolina University. Together, Ellie and Lloyd exemplify lives of faith, dedication, and a commitment to serving others.
