Living as a Faithful & Wise Servant in a Chaotic World

“Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.” - Matthew 24:44
The world is spinning faster than ever. Wars, deception, global control, natural disasters—it’s all happening. Jesus warned us about these days in Matthew 24, but the question is: Are we truly ready?

The World We Live In
We see governments pushing for more control, institutions making radical changes, and morality shifting in ways unimaginable just a few years ago. Even religious institutions are shifting, as seen in Pope Francis’ recent statements and policies. Meanwhile, Christian groups—like a dedicated team of Seventh-day Adventists handing out The Great Controversy at Davos—are fighting to preserve religious freedom and truth.

What It Means to Be a Faithful & Wise Servant
Jesus told three parables in Matthew 25 to teach us how to live in these last days:
  1. The Wise and Foolish Virgins – Some had oil (the Holy Spirit); others were unprepared. Are we daily seeking a deep relationship with God?
  2. The Talents – Some used what they were given; others wasted it. Are we using our gifts for God’s kingdom?
  3. The Sheep and Goats – Some served the “least of these,” others ignored them. Are we helping those in need?

Why This Matters Today
Many of us are distracted. Social media, entertainment, work—life gets busy. But Jesus’ return will catch many off guard. We are called to be watchful, prayerful, and active in our faith.

How to Stay Ready
  • Be Filled with the Holy Spirit – Spend daily time in God’s Word and prayer.
  • Use Your Talents – Find ways to serve in your church and community.
  • Serve Others – Look for opportunities to help those in need. Join ministries like SALT (Service and Love Together) or similar outreach efforts.
  • Stay Alert – Keep an eye on prophecy and world events, but don’t live in fear—live in faith!

A Call to Action
Jesus is coming soon. Don’t be like the foolish virgins who waited too long. Don’t be like the one-talent servant who buried his gift. And don’t be like the goats who ignored those in need.

Today, make a commitment to be a faithful and wise servant—filled with the Spirit, using your gifts, and serving others. Because when Jesus comes, we want to be ready.
