His pride led to rebellion, and eventually, he and his followers were cast out of heaven (Revelation 12:7-9). But the war didn’t end there. It continued here on Earth when Satan deceived Adam and Eve, bringing sin, suffering, and death into our world (Genesis 3:1-5).
Choosing Your Side
Every day, we make choices that place us on one side or the other. It’s not always obvious. Satan’s tactics are subtle—he normalizes sin through media, culture, and personal compromise. He makes what’s wrong look fun and what’s right seem boring or extreme. He whispers lies that make us doubt God’s goodness, just like he did with Eve in the garden.
But God has not left us defenseless. He has given us His Word, His Spirit, and His angels to guide and protect us. More importantly, He has already won the war. Jesus’ death on the cross was the ultimate victory over Satan’s kingdom (John 3:16). Now, all we have to do is choose which side we want to be on.
The Danger of Neutrality
You might be thinking, "I don’t want to choose sides. I just want to live my life." But here’s the reality: not choosing is choosing. By default, if we are not actively aligning ourselves with God, we are playing into Satan’s hands. Jesus Himself said, "Whoever is not with me is against me" (Matthew 12:30).
